1.What each tool is

AMZ Suggestion Expander

A Chrome extension from Raybek Solutions with 200,000 users on the Chrome Web Store. It expands Amazon’s search suggestions by showing the keywords Amazon would suggest before and after yours. Its listing names 9 stores: US, Canada, Mexico, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Australia and Spain. Version 2.1.53 came out on 17 August 2026.

Shopperwords

Also a Chrome extension. When you type in Amazon’s search box, it shows its own dropdown in place of Amazon’s: Amazon’s suggestions, then the words buyers type before yours and after it. It works on 22 Amazon sites, with no account and no ads.

2.How keyword research works in each

Both read Amazon’s own autocomplete, the suggestions shoppers see as they type. So the keywords themselves come from the same place.

AMZ Suggestion Expander

  • Free: an expanded list of suggestions, before and after your keyword, as you type.
  • Pro: estimated search volume as you search, for English keywords only, with trend arrows, a 12-month chart and buyer intent.
  • Pro: download several hundred keywords to a spreadsheet with volume, links to Amazon, Google and Google Trends, and a word count sheet.
  • Pro, since August 2026: a Search Terms builder, saved keywords, a keyword table in the browser, copy all, and exclude words.

Shopperwords

  • Free: Amazon’s suggestions, then words before and after yours. For “yoga mat” that’s 259 keywords, or 582 with Deep Expand.
  • Free: departments, exclude words, saved keywords and CSV export, with no daily limit.
  • Pro: estimated monthly searches with a 12-month trend, trend arrows, peak month, competition and cost per click.
  • Pro: a Search Terms builder, and an Excel export with links to Amazon, Google and Google Trends and a word analysis sheet.

5.When AMZ Suggestion Expander is the better pick

  • You want a tool with a track record. It has 200,000 users and updates going back years. Shopperwords is new and has no ratings yet.
  • You want buyer intent. Its Pro rates keywords by buyer intent. Shopperwords doesn’t.

7.How to try Shopperwords

  4. For search volume, start Pro’s 7-day free trial from pricing. You need a card, and you can cancel in the extension’s settings.
