Terms of Service
Last updated:
These terms are an agreement between you and Shopperwords Inc. (“we”, “us”) about the Shopperwords browser extension, the shopperwords.com website and our API (together, “Shopperwords”). By installing or using Shopperwords, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use it.
Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with your data.
1.What Shopperwords is
Shopperwords is a browser extension for Amazon sellers. As you type in Amazon’s search box, it turns Amazon’s search suggestions into hundreds of keywords. Pro adds estimated monthly search volume and listing tools.
Shopperwords isn’t made, endorsed or sponsored by Amazon.
You must be 18 or older to use Shopperwords.
2.Free and Pro
- Free needs no account and has no time limit.
- Pro costs $6.99 a month or $49.99 a year, in US dollars, and starts with a 7-day free trial.
The plans and their features may change. Our pricing page shows the current ones.
3.Payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds
You buy Pro from Polar (polar.sh), which sells it as the merchant of record. Polar runs the checkout, takes your payment, charges any tax, sends invoices and issues your license key. Polar’s buyer terms also apply to your purchase.
- Trial. You need a card to start the 7-day trial. When the trial ends, Polar charges you for the plan you picked, unless you cancel before then.
- Renewal. Pro renews each month or year, depending on the plan you pick, until you cancel.
- Cancellation. Cancel any time in Polar’s customer portal, which the extension links from Settings → Billing → Manage or cancel subscription. Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for, and you aren’t charged again. Then Polar revokes your license key and Pro turns off within a few hours.
- Refunds. Email support@shopperwords.com within 30 days of any charge for a full refund of that charge, for any reason. Polar sends the refund.
- Price changes. We email you at least 30 days before a price change. The new price applies from your first renewal after that notice.
4.License keys
Your license key is for you alone. Don’t share it, publish it, sell it or let others use it. You may use it in up to 10 browsers. We may revoke a key we find shared or misused.
5.Acceptable use
Follow Amazon’s terms and the law when you use Shopperwords. You are responsible for your Amazon account and your listings. Don’t:
- use Shopperwords to send automated or excessive requests to Amazon or to our API, or get around their limits;
- reverse engineer, scrape or call our API outside the extension, or give others access to it;
- resell, republish or give away the search volume data, or use it to build a competing dataset or service;
- disrupt, attack or overload Shopperwords or the services it relies on.
Parts of the extension use open-source code, which stays under its own licenses.
6.Search volume is an estimate
Pro’s search volume, trends, competition and cost per click are estimates from a third-party keyword data provider, not Amazon’s own counts. They can be missing, late or wrong. Use them to compare keywords, not as a promise of traffic or sales.
7.Shopperwords depends on Amazon
The keywords come from Amazon’s public search suggestions. Amazon can change or stop that service at any time, and parts of Shopperwords may then stop working, for a while or for good. We work to fix breaks quickly, but we can’t promise that every feature will keep working.
8.Changes to Shopperwords
We may add, change or remove features, or stop offering Shopperwords. If we stop offering Pro, we refund the unused part of the time you paid for.
9.No warranty
We provide Shopperwords “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we make no promises about it, including that it will be accurate, uninterrupted, free of errors or fit for a particular purpose.
10.Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, sales, data or rankings, that come from your use of Shopperwords. Our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid for Pro in the 12 months before the claim; if you use only Free, that is $0.
Some laws don’t allow these limits. Where they don’t, the limits apply only as far as those laws allow.
11.Ending your use
You can stop at any time: remove the extension and cancel Pro. We may suspend or end your access, including by revoking your license key, if you break these terms. Sections 9 and 10, and any payment you already owe, still apply after your use ends.
12.Changes to these terms
When we change these terms, we update this page and the date at the top. For important changes, we also email Pro subscribers at least 30 days before the change takes effect. If you keep using Shopperwords after a change, you accept the new terms.
